Missing Persons
In general, missing person cases are handled by local law enforcement and the FBI. These institutions can't always help - They are often bound by laws and federal or local regulations that may prevent them from recognizing or finding the missing person on time.
Unfortunately, this is true, and many lost person cases fall outside criminal investigations, especially when the missing person is a regular adult who isn't considered to be at any known risk.
Notice: We advise you to file a missing person report to the police immediately. Waiting 24 hours could be detrimental to the investigation.
